Imagination In Colour UK Nail Polish Blog

Hey all 🙂 I’ve got a super super pretty flakie to show you! I’ve always loved flakies but lately I’ve started to feel like all the supposedly ‘new’ flakies are just reproductions of previous ones (for example, Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure, GOSH Rainbow, Color Club Snow Flakes, Nubar 2010, Essie Shine of the Times… etc.). Even the Zoya flakies weren’t altogether original, and the Nails Inc ones certainly weren’t. So I’m happy to report that Crystal Glaze is probably the most original one I’ve yet seen 🙂 with the possible exception of the (pricey and hard-to-get) Nfu-Ohs :).

As always, flakies are best used as a topper, especially over darker colours as the colours of the flakes will really pop against the dark background. I used 2 coats of the new Barry M Berry Cosmo as my ‘underwear’ :).

It’s been a little while since Barry M have brought out some new products (not that I can fault them on that front – they have been really spoiling us the last couple of years!) so I am super excited to bring you this press release. I mean, SUPER EXCITED! Some of the polishes look super cool – while not necessarily unique or new ideas, they have the Barry M twist that makes them special 🙂

I am also really looking forward to the makeup products – I’m particularly into my eye makeup so I am pleased to see a couple of palettes becoming available as I always felt the Barry M line was missing them. I am also OVERLY excited about the new mascara… I have repurchased several of the original Lash Vegas Mascara which is honestly the best mascara I have yet used – the only way I felt it could be improved is by making a waterproof version… and lo and behold…!

Hey everyone! How are you? I’ve had a bit of an eventful couple of days – I’m learning to drive but I’ve just been rear-ended on a roundabout so it might be a while before I can get back behind the wheel as our car is almost certainly written off 🙁 it was a shock and a half but could have been so much worse so I’m counting my lucky stars!

First of all I want to thank Lynz for her patience with me as it took me quite a while to get this review up, my life schedule is way too busy for my liking!

She kindly sent me these beautiful water decal full nail wraps  which were a lot of fun to try out and I love the designs on them, especially the super cute skull designs! I must forewarn you that my application of these was a little on the shaky-hand side of things so on most people these will look perfect! I’ve never tried water decals of any kind before so for me the first two were trial-and error, you can probably guess which they were ;).

Hello lovelies! So, The Nail Arcade is midway through its week of being a pop-up UK indie polish e-shop, and I thought I’d show you the other gorgeous polish Rachel sent me to review 🙂 having just been hit by a hefty customs charge myself I feel the timing is apt, I just hope she still has some polishes in stock by Friday which is my payday! They’re selling out fast.

I’ve never tried a polish by Serum No 5 before so I was super excited to try it. They come in two sizes: 9ml (Rachel is selling these at £5.55) or 16.7ml (£9). Fame is a beautiful holographic topcoat, so basically you can paint it over any colour to turn it into a holographic-effect polish 🙂 you can use one coat for a more subtle holo effect, or build it up for stronger holographicness.

Hey everyone, sorry I haven’t posted in a little while. I’ve been doing something VERY exciting *hint* 🙂 so my free time, what little I have, has been mostly consumed by that. More news soon ;). A lovely polish friend of mine is also on an exciting polish venture: Rachel, who is the creator of the Winterberry Nail Art Kits I reviewed here, is opening an indie and international nail polish e-shop here in the UK!
