Maybelline Street Art Alley Attitude

Hey lovely ladies. The other week I showed you Maybelline White Splatter, one of the Maybelline Street Art (or Street Artist) nail polishes – I really love these! They are really simple glitter mixes but they are super effective for brightening up a manicure or making a plain polish look more interesting. I have been wearing this manicure all day today, and I’m loving it; it reminds me of birds’ eggs! So super cute 🙂

Lately I’ve really been getting into wearing glitters over plain colours (particularly pastels!) so here I’ve used one thick coat of Maybelline Alley Attitude over two coats of Ciaté Sugar Plum (told ya I’d use the Mini Mani Month up, didn’t I?!)

Both are matte so they aren’t shiny at all but this gives it a pretty cool effect. There are multiple sizes of hexagonal glitter in each colour as well as neon turquoise bar glitter, too. The tiny glitters give a speckledy effect while the larger glitters add accents to each nail, making them more interesting. I LOVE this combination of glitters! I also love that this is such a unique polish – not many brands are doing NEW glitter combinations at the moment and this one is totally unique to my collection and to the highstreet – so, kudos to Maybelline!

Application:

One coat gives you a generous coverage of glitter, as shown in the photos. I think you probably could get a (sparse) opaque coverage with this polish, with a good few coats, as the glitter is dense. I did have to fish for and place the large black hexagons seen on my pointer, ring and pinkie nails, but that’s not too much hassle. The polish dries quickly but you will definitely need at least one coat of topcoat to smooth it all out as the glitters can stand up a little.

Maybelline Street Artist Alley Attitude is a reasonable £3.99, in Boots and Superdrug both online and instore.

What do you think of this glitter? What would be your perfect ‘underwear’ polish?
