Sorry for my little absence, it was my birthday on Saturday and everything has been pretty hectic in the surrounding days!
Here is my new favourite green – not even exaggerating.
My camera REALLY struggled to capture the shade of this polish accurately… even in these photos it’s still leaning more turquoise than it is in person, but they’re fairly close. Just add a bit of green to what you are seeing, lol (sorry). I adore this colour, it’s so bright and eye-catching, and you know how I love my greens and blues. This is the perfect summer blend of the two, not too turquoise (which can make my skin look lobstery) and not so green that it’s no longer summery. The finish is a beautiful creme-jelly effect. I just love it!
Application:
This polish was pretty much opaque at 3 coats, as shown in the photos. It’s one of those polishes that always shows a hint of the free edge through the finish, but it’s honestly not noticeable unless someone is scrutinising your nails up close. The polish dried fairly quickly, taking perhaps a little longer than the average nail polish. The finish is a beautiful glossy paint; no need for topcoat!
Green Room is available from Topshop online, or instore in Topshop shops, for £5. It’s definitely a very unique shade and WILL catch peoples’ attention! This would look gorgeous on tanned toes, too! To be honest, it’s been on my mental wishlist since forever, but I usually go shopping with specific purchases in mind and never seem to have money to spare. But I will definitely be visiting Topshop a lot more often now, Green Room has got me hooked!
What do you think? This might just be my number 1 summer polish at the moment – what’s yours?
