Emily de Molly Violet Days

Hey everyone! I have a discontinued polish to show you all today. Since I promised to show you what I put on top of my Revlon Parfumerie Ginger Melon mani, I thought I’d make a post out of it! Polishes like this one pop up on blogsales or sales groups on Facebook from time to time so if you love it keep an eye out. I’m not really sure whether this is HTF – when I bought it (from a sales group) I was a bit obsessed with Emily de Molly at the time so I didn’t even search for swatches at the time, I went a bit crazy hehe 🙂

I don’t usually pair purple and pink together but something drew me to this pairing 🙂

Glam Polish Would You Believe?

Good evening! Hope you’re all well. I’ve had a really busy day at work (somehow being in admin isn’t as stress-free as one would hope!)  but I am still loving the luxury of the 9-5 day. Work 9am-1am with 1hr break and you probably know what I mean!! Another thing I’m enjoying about the office is that there are no rules about nail polish – yayyyy!!

On that note I have a very beautiful glitter topcoat to show you 🙂 you may remember a while back I reviewed Glam Polish Day Dreamer (I have since shortened my nails quite a bit and looking at those photos makes me shudder – no offence to ladies with long nails, I think they look lovely on others but on me I’m just not a fan!!) but anyway, this is the polish I bought with it and I have to say is my favourite of the two – Day Dreamer sadly didn’t quite do it for me!

Flash Nails Midnight Feast

Hey everyone!! You may remember from a few days ago I showed you Flash Nails Jagged which was a funky mixture of shards, and today I have the second mini polish I won from the giveaway! I’ve found Flash Nails to be so lovely and unique so far so I’m excited to buy more 🙂

The one I have today is called Midnight Feast. I love it when names really conjure up images in my mind – this makes me think of sweetie wrappers and cakes and crisps and chocolate and all things colourful. Growing up midnight feasts were a BIG thing haha, I used to stay at my cousin’s house and we’d plan one every single night!! Never successful because despite what we thought, we were actually very very noisy haha!

Flash Nails Jagged

Hey there! As you know I do love to support the UK indies as they (by default) have a much much smaller market than those in the US, as they can’t send internationally. However the last 2 months I have been beyond broke, and have had to admire from afar while some amazingly pretty polishes make their début here in the UK! But I was lucky enough to win a competition run by Nicola of Flash Nails, where you submitted a name for the polish, and if you won, she sent you a mini of your choice! I adore those kinds of competitions so I was beyond excited to have one, and the best bonus was being able to try her polishes 🙂 Thank you Nicola!

Enchanted Polish February 2014

Hey there everyone! Today I have a beauty of a polish to show you. If you remember, last month I showed you Enchanted Polish January 2014 – a lovely deep dark blue holo, and this one is like the muted cranberry cousin to Jan 2014. If you didn’t know, Enchanted Polish (EP) is one of the most sought-after brands in the polish world. I think this is largely due to their exclusivity. That’s something that sells me on a product – not being able to have a second chance at choosing… I’ve said it before, I am genuinely a marketer’s dream customer! This exclusivity lead to many a problem with restocks, however it seems Chelsea has finally found a good solution. She’s currently doing a pre-order window at a certain date and time of the month, for the monthly polish releases. This seems to be working great – both times have been easy and stress-free for me.

2014 is also the year of mystery polishes for EP. This means that you are buying blind, essentially, as you won’t know what your polish looks like until you peek at swatches from the US or until it arrives on your doorstep. Which is something I LOVE, and because I don’t have many polish colours I hate, I feel relatively safe knowing that I will probably love it. Although I know it’s not for everyone!!
