Quirk Polish Fantine - Imagination In Colour

Quirk Polish Fantine

Hey ladies! Today I have another (yes… another) UK Indie to show you πŸ˜€ what can I say – my fellow UK Indie makers just keep coming up with the coolest polishes πŸ™‚ this one is by the lovely Kerrie, who also runs the blog PishPosh and Polish! πŸ™‚

Quirk released the ‘So Bloody Miserable’ collection (coolest name ever!) at the end of 2013/ beginning of 2014 (I’m always a little hazy on dates!) which is inspired by Les Miserables. I have to be honest – don’t hate me – I’ve never seen Les Mis, ever! So I honestly have no idea what this polish is in reference to, however, I do definitely think it’s very beautiful!! πŸ™‚

Quirk Polish Fantine So Bloody Miserable Collection UK Indie handmade nail polish glitter topcoat pastels iridescent black shards squares hexes spring blog review swatch swatches close up macro shotFantine is a clear base fillef with pastel glitters (including blue, pink, lilac and pale green), iridescent blue/green and blue/purple squares and some hexes, and some randomly-shaped black shards. It’s a really really gorgeous combination – it’s perfect for spring with the pastels but it has a slightly artsy edge to it with the black shards. I love it! I ummed and ahhed about what to use under it, but in the end I went with my (now old and faithful) CiatΓ© Pillow Fight at 2 coats, topped with 2 coats of Fantine. So pretty! πŸ™‚

Application:

Fantine applies well – you need to be careful not to go over the same spot too many times as it may drag the glitter, and make sure you load up the brush more than usual for each nail. It dries pretty quickly and to a nice shine. I’d recommend a coat of topcoat to finish it all off and keep it smooth πŸ™‚

I really really love this polish, it looks super pretty and the iridescent glitters keep it interesting and sparkly! I’d highly recommend it to anyone πŸ™‚ You can buy Fantine for just Β£6 at Quirk’s online shop.

What do you think of this polish? πŸ™‚
