What base and topcoats do you use?

Currently I’m trying Duri Rejuvacote basecoat, which has worked really well for my nails so far! Nail Envy destroyed my nails so if it doesn’t agree with you either, maybe Duri might help! Topcoat-wise I am using Ciaté Speed Coat, but my personal favourite is Revlon Quick Dry 🙂

What nail polish remover do you use?

What camera do you use?

I use a Canon Kiss X5/600D/Rebel T3i.

When did you start getting into nail polish?

I started getting ‘into’ the beauty vlogging/blogging world in 2010, when most of my time was spent watching Natalya from FilthyGorgeousMakeup on YouTube. In December 2010 I bought 3 polishes on a whim after enjoying wearing Barbara Daly Aqua Shimmer earlier in November. These three were Rimmel Grey Matter, Rimmel Movie Star and Maybelline French Manicure. And suddenly I was hooked! I purchased polish like a mad thing from there on and started my blog in January 2011.

Why did you start a blog?

Several reasons: I had no-one but my long-suffering Andy to share the polish love with, I always felt like wearing the polish lost a little of it’s joy when I took it off because there was no ‘evidence’ that I’d worn it, and through documenting them it feels quite fulfilling being able to look back and see what I’ve worn. It’s a rewarding hobby, despite each blogpost taking roughly 2hrs in total… to see the numbers creep up and know that more and more people are enjoying something I’ve created is something that motivates me and inspires me! It’s even more fulfilling to get comments and to share the excitement I get from my hobby, and to become part of a community of people who I would never have otherwise known.
