Hey everyone 🙂 I’ve got another beaauuuuutiful UK Indie from Jemma at Chubby Owl Polishes to show you today! It’s called ‘Majestic Moonstone’. Sighhh. It’s gorgeous, I think this may be one of my very favourite UK Indies to date! I have developed a bit of an addiction to UK Indies but to be honest anyone who didn’t see that coming must be blind!
I love pretty much everything about this polish – the colour, the glitter, the name…have a look!
Here I have layered two coats of Majestic Moonstone over one coat of Barry M Indigo, as the inky indigo base colour of MM is a little sheer, and Indigo compliments it beautifully. The base of MM is  a jelly, which is just PERFECT for showing the glitters through – it gives them depth without occluding their reflection. There are silver and lilac holographic circle glitters, turquoise hexes and smaller lilac holo hexes. It’s honestly so pretty without being overbearingly glittery. There’s so many circle glitters in there getting them out isn’t a problem – almost no fishing required.
Application:
Majestic Moonstone applies very easily with good coverage. Be careful not to go over the same place too many times as it may drag the glitter. To be totally honest I can’t accurately talk about dry time because Barry M Indigo just does not dry. I’ve never been able to get it to dry in under 2hrs so I have no idea how much that affected MM. I reckon it would probably take 3-4 coats for MM to be totally opaque on it’s own, but I love it as a layering polish :D. I would definitely recommend using a topcoat to seal everything in and protect the big glitter from getting snagged on things. It also adds a layer of shine that makes the holo circles go holo crazy! 🙂
I adore this polish and I think it looks perfect over Barry M Indigo – it’s definitely something I’ll be wearing again! You can buy Majestic Moonstone for £5.99 from the Chubby Owl Polishes shop (and have a browse while you’re there all the polishes are gorgeous!!)
Jemma also has a giveaway going on on Facebook from 8pm tonight, so make sure you check out the Chubby Owl Facebook page for more info!
