Picture Polish Bette

Hey there! Today I have a very pretty nail polish to show you. It’s another Picture Polish shade (if you follow me on Instagram, you will know how much I adore Picture Polish!), which I got back in the late summer when they launched 8 or so new shades. This one was part of a collection of four which were ‘re-releases’ (or very similar) of shades originally sold under Ozotic, which, from what I gather, was a sister brand of Picture Polish.

So ‘Bette’ is meant to be a remake of Ozotic 617. They’re pretty much the same in my eyes, although if you want to see for yourself More Nail Polish did a great comparison here.

Cirque Cerrillos

Hey there! So… I’ve kind of been gone again for a while… sorry about that! I’m not sure whether I’m back but we’ll take it as it comes. I’ll be honest about why I’ve been gone – I’ve been learning a lot about spirituality and consciousness and it makes me feel a bit disillusioned with products, material items and values etc which is, to say the least, at odds with the very premise of my blog. But I have still been enjoying wearing nail polish (as you will know if you follow me on Instagram) so I wanted to share one of my recent favourites with you all.

Cirque isn’t a brand I’ve taken much notice of until I saw their Heritage Collection, which is a nice summery line-up of holographic colours. If you didn’t know, Cirque nail polishes are lightly scented with lavender and clary sage. This scent is obvious at first but lessens with topcoat, and I can’t tend to smell it after the first couple of hours.

Enchanted Polish July 2014

Hello everyone! I’m going to stop apologising for not posting as regularly as I should because I’m clearly not very good at living up to my apologies! Anyway, I have another Enchanted Polish mystery colour today. I’ve been trying to get them all this year although unfortunately as this last time Chelsea was selling all three at once, I could only afford one so got my birth month; July! Enchanted Polishes are currently being sold on a pre-order basis, with an hour long window for buyers to purchase, and a month long window from order to receipt of the polish. I think it works brilliantly! Nobody goes crazy, no site crashes… it’s all good 🙂

July arrived the other day and I have to say when I first saw it, I wasn’t all that keen. However now that I’ve seen it on the nail, I really like it! If you have got this and aren’t keen, I’d definitely suggest wearing it once just to be sure as it looks quite different on the nail from in the bottle.

Picture Polish Shocked

Hello everyone! If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you may have noticed my recent obsession with Picture Polish! Before the Limited Edition collection came out I only owned one and really wasn’t too fussed… but the formula did impress me. I bit the bullet again recently and bought Freya’s Cats, Shocked and Columbia, and adored them all! So here is Shocked to show you 🙂

Picture Polish has a small range of nail polishes with this finish – it’s a coloured jelly base filled with silver holographic flecks – they’re not glitter so I’m not really sure what they are but they’re stunning in the sun! I’ve collected quite a few of these now – Freya’s Cats, Shocked, Kryptonite, Shy Violet 🙂

Tami Beauty Lady of Lomond

Hello! I’m back with a new brand to show you all. Say hello to ‘Tami Beauty‘, a Scottish nail brand that also specialises in health, beauty and fitness advice. I was lucky enough to be sent one of their new polishes to try, and with excitement I chose ‘Lady of Lomond’. From what I understand, Tami Beauty is an independent (‘indie’) nail brand, but unlike many indie brands, they are actually made in a factory. They are 3-free and cruelty free, so no qualms there!

If you’ve watched my Boyfriend Tag video, you will know that my family used to take annual holidays into the depths of Scotland, as well as to the Hebrides. We would always stop off at Luss, which is on the bank of Loch Lomond, on the way up. It’s become somewhat of a haven for me, especially because at the height of my anxiety it provided an escape from the normal stresses that were going on at the time, and so it gives me strong feelings of peace and dare I say it… ZEN! So I was super excited to try a polish named after one of my favourite places in the world.
