Models Own Gold Rush

Hey everyone today I have a beautiful summery colour for you – Models Own Gold Rush. It’s so bright and luxurious, I feel wealthy just wearing it! (Wishful thinking… lol!). Models Own isn’t a brand I get round to trying all that often because my local Boots doesn’t sell them, so I have to go all the way into the city to see the (somewhat bare) Models Own stand in the bigger Boots store. What I didn’t know was that Littlewoods sells Models Own!

Barry M Sequin Nail Effects Press Release

Barry M have done it again… they’re releasing yet another new, exciting nail product, under the title of ‘Sequin Nail Effects’ – WOW. I am so excited for these!! On first impressions from the photos they seem to be multi-coloured glitters suspended in a coloured base, of which there are three: Pink, White, and Black. Have a look for yourselves!

Ciaté Pocket Money

Once again Ciaté and Marie Claire have collaborated so that we readers can get a free bottle of Ciaté nail polish with this month’s edition of the magazine, priced fairly reasonably at £3.80 (compared with Ciaté’s RRP of £9.00 I think that’s quite a good deal!). They also offer 20% off any purchases at Ciaté online with a code I have yet to find! In June of last year Ciaté offered three polishes (which I strongly suspect were repromotes of existing shades marauding under different names!); Bon Bon, Jelly Bean and Purple Sherbet.

The two shades on offer this Spring are Pocket Money and Sand Dune. Today I am showing you Pocket Money, a pinky-brown creme polish.

Barry M Prickly Pear Gelly

Reviewing the new Barry M Gelly Nail Paints reminded me that I still have yet to wear a few of the original Gellies, so today I have Prickly Pear to show you! I mentioned a few weeks ago that I’m getting a lot more ‘into’ purples, so here is evidence! This is definitely one of my favourite Gelly Nail Paints, along with Dragon Fruit and Green Berry 🙂

Lately my nail polish picks have been quite Springy, although as I write this I am wearing a very unseasonal nail polish, but pastels certainly never used to catch my eye and lately I’ve been loving them!

Barry M Nail Art Pens

I’m super excited for today’s blog post, I have fallen in love with this product from the moment I first saw the press release to the moment  I used them on my own nails: Barry M Nail Art Pens.

If you have ever used the squeezy nail art pens which are abundant in today’s market (for example, from Rio Beauty, Models Own, and various lesser-known brands) you will know that the flow of the ink/polish is quite hard to control mid-design: squeeze too much, and you are rewarded with a large splodge of polish all over your neat design; squeeze too little and you end up scratching your design into the base colour. It’s a little finicky. Enter Barry M Nail Art Pens. Now I know they aren’t the first brand to be using this design of pen, Finishing Touches by Superdrug have been using it for a while but to be honest I’ve never tried them (I have made a mental note to buy them for comparison asap!) and I know other brands such as Topshop have also used a similar pen design but you all know how much I love my Barry M, so of course I’m excited!
